Only nine more days until the start of the Tour! Bobby used the Tour de Suisse for some high level training and rode in a support role for teammate Frank Schleck. Bjarne Riis has now revealed the names of eight of the nine riders, who will represent Team CSC during this year’s Tour de France. The following riders have been selected: Ivan Basso, Kurt-Asle Arvesen, Bobby Julich, Giovanni Lombardi, Carlos Sastre, Nicki Sørensen, Jens Voigt and David Zabriskie. The last spot goes to either Jakob Piil or Luke Roberts.
In Lancaster, Bobby attacked from the gun to get his legs going, and in Trenton he was in a long breakaway with Mark McCormack but they were caught in the final lap. In Philly, the heat played a factor this year. Bobby didn’t make the early break that stayed away to the finish. Next up is the Tour de Suisse.
