When the Tour de France route was announced last week, Bobby was reported to be “surprised by the two long individual time trials and the lack of the team time trials.”
“What struck me is the length of the time trials,” said Julich, whose seven individual wins last season were the most by an American. “I don’t know my role yet, but there are two options: the same itinerary I’ve done the last few years or another where I concentrate more on the Tour of Italy and then the Tour de France. But there’s no secret, our goal is to win the Tour.”
